Thanks to two organisations backed by Aditya Birla Group,Dumka railway station is going to halt the 201st Lifeline Express for almost three weeks beginning February 20.The commoners are going to get medicare free of cost.
This train is slated to offer free medical attentions to the commoners starting from heart ailments, eye, orthopaedic, oral and dental, ENT and so on would begin serving patients free of cost from February 20.This service will be available to the needy commoners till March 9.
One of the organisers hopes that this Lifeline Express train at Dumka can provide help to poor and deprived patients of the State in general and especially from the Santhal Pargana region,” says Dr Vivek Kumar, Dental Council of India member representing Jharkhand.
Another body involved with this on medical service provider on railway tracks is Impact India Foundation.It has played its part in association with DCI and representatives from the State in bringing the medical assistance on wheels to the people.
In fact,the Lifeline Express is world’s first and only fully equipped hospital on iron wheels.It is holding its 201st project sponsored by the Aditya Birla Group at Dumka Railway Station.
The aim behind this initiative is to make India free of cataract and disabilities of hearing, orthopaedic in children, cleft lip, identification oral and breast and cervical cancer and epilepsy. Dental treatment is also given. "Education on preventive methods is also given,” said the DCI member.
The Lifeline Express would be having two well-equipped Operation Theatres with five operation tables for the above surgeries. A well-equipped Dental Clinic with two Dental Chairs and all required accessories are available.
Modern tools, medicines, spectacles, lenses, hearing devices are all made available without any fee. The DDC Dumka, Station Manager, Civil Surgeon and other officials at Dumka, have been contacted and lined up for successful operation of the Lifeline Express.
