Distracted driving is a cause for road accidents with drivers using mobile phone approximately four times more likely to be involved in a crash in comparison to those not using a phone, says World Health Organisation (WHO).

While there are several types of distractions that can lead to impaired driving, recently a marked increase around the world in the use of mobile phones by drivers has become a growing concern for road safety, WHO said.
