”This was the outcome of a campaign launched to contain corruption in the Food,Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Department in the state”,claimed the Department Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey in a press conference inside Suchna Bhawan in Ranchi on Friday. The Department is headed by its Minister Saryu Rai.
Choubey informed that the Department with an aim to provide better service to consumers has acquired mobile numbers of nearly 25 lakh consumers.
”Through the SMS service, the consumers will now be able to know when the dealer had collected the ration to be delivered to them and who had collected their ration and so on.This will prevent corruption and illegal sale of subsidized supply items supplied by the PDS”,he said.
