The Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Governor cum Chancellor Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday conferred degrees upon the 2014-15 students of Ranchi Universiy on its 30th Convocation in Ranchi.

In all, 2,929 degree holders, 89 graduates from different streams were awarded Gold Medals in the function and the degrees were conferred upon students of 2014 and 2015 batch by Lok Sabha Speaker.

Apart from regular course toppers, gold medals were also handed over to the top rank holders of various professional courses. Students of batch 2011-14 and 2013-15 both Undergraduate (UG) course and Post Graduate (PG) course including vocational studies were presented certificates in the convocation ceremony. Ten ‘Memorial Gold Medals’ were presented to the best graduating students.

The ceremony was participated among others by Jharkhand HRD Minister, Neera Yadav and Ranchi University Vice Chancellor Rames Kumar Pandey.
