Jharkhand Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma on Wednesday directed to close down within seven days all illegal non banking financial companies running in the state fraudulently.

The CS issued the directive to DCs and SPs of all 24 districts in the state.

“If a case of fraud is recorded,action will be taken against the officer- in -charge of the police station”,said the CS while addressing the DCs and SPs on the issue of illegal non banking financial companies through video conference from inside the Project Bhawan office premise on Wednesday .

She told the DCs and SPs to identify the illegal non banking financial companies and freeze their accounts.Also,the CS ordered that DCs should issue directive to banks to freeze the account of illegal non banking financial companies,if any.
