Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday launched the website of the Jharkhand Nutrition Mission inside the Project Bhawan premise in Ranchi.

The website was launched nearly six months after the JNM was set up with the backing of the UNICEF on November 13,2015.The website provides details of the JNM,a subsidiary of the Jharkhand Government’s Department of Women and Child Development and Social Security.

In fact,the JNM plans to provide technical leadership to guide and assist the multi-sectoral plans.Also Mission is expected to contribute by recommending, to departments evidence-based innovative initiatives; improving monitoring and reporting systems for quality and coverage of nutrition interventions; generating evidence for informed action,said a report.

The CM directed the personnel of the JNM to work unitedly with a mission to attain its goal.

The event was attended among others by the CM,Dr. Louis Marandi, Minister, Social Welfare, Women & Child Development,Additional Chief Secretary incharge of health K.Vidyasagar,Secretary,Women and Child Development,Vinay Choubey,Principal Secretary incharge of JNM,Mridula Sinha and Additional Chief Secretary incharge of Finance Amit Khare.
