The time bound release of 218 convicts who had completed the period of conviction awarded by the court inside different jail in Jharkhand was the subject of discussion in the meeting of the the review council of the convicts( Saja Punarikshan Parishad) in Ranchi today.

In addition,Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed to consider 110 cases of convicts within next three months.

The CM directed the concerned authorities to take ‘strong’ action against the convicts and other persons linked with them who were responsible for criminal activities inside the jail premise.

Apart from ordering to fill up vacancies of post of Jailer,the CM ordered that raid must be conducted after securing special information.

The meeting was attended among others by Additional Chief Secretary(incharge of Home Department)N.N.Pandey,the CM’s principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar and DGP D.K.Pandey.
