The 54th bankers meeting was held todaay in Ranchi at Hotel Radisson Blu.

Addressing the meeting,Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das advised the bank management not to ignore or deny payment of loan to the tribals in Jharkhand.

The bank provides education loan to general students upto Rs four lakh.This education loan should be provided to the tribal students as well,said the CM.

He informed that in grant of loan by the bank,there is some hindrance due to the Chotanagpur Tenancy (CNT)Act 1908.To resolve this problem,the state government has set up a committee.

“Soon,the committee will submit report.Then,the state government will take decision to help the bank provide loan to tribals for the commercial,housing and other purposes”,said the CM while addressing the state wide 54th meeting of the Bankers Committee at Hotel Radisson Blu in Ranchi today.
