Budget Session of Jharkhand State Assembly begins

With Chief Minister Raghubar Das handing over a bouquet of flowers to Speaker Dinesh Oraon,the Budget Session of Jharkhand State Assembly began today.

The session started with the address of Governor Draupadi Murmu in the State Assembly.As per the schedule,the Budget Session is slated to continue till Fabruary 7 and will have 15 working days of the House.

The annual Budget for 2017-18 is scheduled to be presented on January 23.

Both the ruling NDA and opposition parties like the JMM, JVM and Congress held meetings among themselves.They have chalked -out their floor strategy in the Budget Session.

Speaker Dinesh Oraon held meetings on Monday with ruling and opposition Members for smooth functioning of the House.However, various political analysts of the state are predicting a stormy Budget Session, especially over the recent Amendments to the CNT & SPT Act.
