In what appears to be a major breakthrough,the police today arrested six Maoists near Kathijoria in Santhal Pargana.

Among them are Ram Lal,Sarua Pani, Panchanand Mandal,Kanchan yadav and Taja Pujhar.Lal was allegedly the CPI(Maoist)’s Zonal Commander who carried a reward of Rs five lakh on his head.

All of them were going to Ramgarh village from Shikaripara in Dumka district when the police claim to have nabbed and recovered Naxalite uniforms,literature,posters and cassette.

Dumka SP Hemant Toppo said Lal has admitted his involvement in all incidents of Naxalite violence in Sathal Pargana.”For us he is a big catch”,said Toppo.
