Dance & music has been an important part of ceremony, rituals, celebrations and entertainment since before the birth of the earliest human civilizations. It may have been used as a tool of social interaction that promoted
cooperation essential for survival among early humans.
Indeed, music and dance has the power to draw millions of people from different parts of the world and uplift them emotionally.It has been scientifically proved that dancing for a few hours each week can really have a positive and powerful impact on our well-being.
Dancing soothes our soul, it helps to build our self confidence.Dancing puts us in a good mood.Dancing is fun as well as liberating.
In this context, for the first time in the history of Ranchi, a 'flashmob' was organised at Oxygen Park Ranchi.It was the brainchild of Dr Pallavi Preetinanda and her like minded friends People from different places like Patna, Hazaribagh, Gwalior and Ranchi participated. Engineers, doctors, entrepreneurs , artists took part in this.
"The purpose was to show that dance unifies all and anybody can dance. Dance is the best antidepressant!" said Dr Pallavi Preetinanda.
