A tense calm prevailed at Jagannathpur,near the Jharkhand Assembly in Ranchi,today,following three incidents of theft in equal number of temples there at one night.

According to the FIR filed at Jagannathpur police station,all these incidents of theft took place on Friday night.These three temples were:Radhe Krishna Mandir,Bhairwai Mandir and Shiv Mandir.

The FIR revealed that while Radhe Krishna Mandir lost a silver crown,a statue of Astadhatu(eight metals)and a Aasan(platform meant to keep the idol),an idol of silver went missing from Bhairwai Mandir.Similarly,a donation box was reported missing from Shiv Mandir.

The identity of the thieves was not known.Neither any arrest was made in this connection so far.
