Come April 14 and National Fire Service Day is observed across the country.

In Jharkhand Tata Steel used the occasion to recall the contributions of those Fire Professionals who died while saving the life and property of others.

In 1944, the Fire Personnel had displayed exemplary courage and devotion to their duty as they fought the huge Fire & Explosion at Victoria Dock, Mumbai. Many Fire Fighters lost their lives in this incident. Respect and homage was paid to all those Fire Fighters who lost their lives on this date sixty nine years ago.

To accord value to the Fire Service,Tata Steel is going to observe National Fire Service Week from April 14-20, 2013. A function was also organized at Tata Steel Fire Brigade Department today. A M Mishra, VP (SS),T V Narendran, VP (Safety &  FP),S D Tripathy & P N Singh, President, Tata Workers Union attended the function.
