After a patient died due to absence of medicare in the state government run Sadar hospital in Deoghar on April 30,another patient was compelled to seek treatment in a private clinic.

Veena Devi was brought to this Sadar hospital this morning for treatment.But in the absence of a lady doctor,Dr SL Murmu refused to treat her saying she has to be diagnosed by a lady doctor.

When the relatives of Devi insisted that he should treat her,Dr Murmu declined.This enraged the relatives.”Why is the hospital open then.It should be closed”,they shouted.

After the police intervened,they dispersed with sick Devi who was admitted at a private clinic.
