The arrest of Parmeshwar Kumar Sao from the railway station in Giridih today revealed that an inter state gang is involved in trafficking of children.

Sao,a resident of Madhupur in Deoghar,was arrested by the railway police on charges of human trafficking.”We have sent him to Madhupur railway station for further action”,said Railway police Havildar Biswas Minz.

On a tip off,the railway police searched the waiting room of the Giridih railway station and found that Sao alongwith seven children were waiting to board a Patna bound train last night.”I had to take them to work in Patna”,Sao told the railway police.

All these children in the age group of 8-13 years were identified as Kedar,Shivlal,Sukhdeo,Dilip,Beni,Vakil and Vijay.They belonged to the Scheduled Caste( Dalits) and hailed from neighbouring Karmatanr in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district.
