Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday reviewed the works of the Energy Department and directed its officers to ensure that works connected with installation of the underground cabling for power supply in Ranchi,Dhanbad,Bokaro and Deoghar get completed by March 2018.

‘Identify every transformer by a code and, if necessay,get it connected with computer so that it can be examined and replaced whenever required”,said the CM.

The CM directed that a retired officer of the state Forest Department be appointed as a nodal officer to get its approval for setting up transmission line in forest areas quickly,said the CM.

In the meeting,the details of several projects being implemented by Jharkhand Urga Sancharan Nigam Ltd(JUSNL) and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd were put forth.

The Additional Chief Secretary,Energy,RK Srivastava informed that JUSNL had completed projects worth Rs 110 crore Rs 1183 crore was made available to Power Grid Corporation Ltd for implementing several transmission projects.

The construction work of Grid Sub Station in Dumka,Chaibasa,Manoharpur,Chatra,Simdega and Tamar was complete.The work was on in Patratu,Latehar,Lohardaga,Govindpur,Ramchandrapur,Mango and jainamore(Bokaro).

The CM told the officials to work in such a way that by 2018,24 hour power supply was provided to people on Public-Private Partnership mode.”There will be no shortage of fund for executing the work.If needed,the fund can be gained from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development” (NABARD),said the CM.
