Rotary Club of Ranchi members on Sunday celebrated Friendship Day with the children of a slum areas in Jharkhand capital.

In all,38 children in the age group of 4-15 years belonging to Koinar Toli in Doranda area of Ranchi appeared to have enjoyed the event.The Rotarians coloured their hands with Mehndi.

“I had got Mehndi on my hand for the first time”,smiled a girl echoing the sentiments of many children who participated in the programme.

Rahul Rajgarhia,President of Rotary Club of Ranchi,said that while Rotarians enjoyed the Friendship Day with these slum children and learnt about the life of these slum people at the grass roots.”There seems to be a big difference between the children living in posh areas of the city and its slum “,he said.

The programme was attended and made successful by Project Chairman RT Sahu,Rajat Vimal,Reshu Rajgarhia,Aditya Kataruka,Pratik Kumar,Shubham Kumar,Sakshi Agrawal,Nidhi Rajgarhia,Rashika Agrawal,Nandni Bangar and Naingi Rajgarhia.
