Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday offered prayers at Chhinnamastika Temple dedicated to mother Goddess Chinnamastika. 

Though the actor had kept his Chinnamastika tour secret, his presence there caught the attention of his followers who floated his pictures on social media. In any case, Chinnamastika temple is a Hindu pilgrimage centre and located in Rajrappa, in the Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, India. 

The place attracts devotees from all parts of Jharkhand, and also from the neighbouring states of West Bengal and Bihar. Accompanied by his followers, the actor participated in the puja. Guided by the priests, they performed different rituals. 

Earlier, officials and priests of Chinnamastika temple, which manages the affairs of the mother goddess site, welcomed Rajnikatnth on his arrival at the main gate of the temple. Rajnikanth keeps worshipping and praying at different places including Tirupathi. 

He considers Paramahansa Yogananda, an Indian Hindu monk, yogi, and guru who introduced millions to meditation and Kriya Yoga through his organization, Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) / Yogoda Satsanga Society, as his Guru.

Since the central Yogoda Satsanga Society is located in Ranchi, he gained spiritual solace inside Yogda Ashram here. In 2002, he also visited Yogada Ashram in Uttarakhand and met its the then chief Swami Nityanand Giri. Rajnikanth who also met Governor CP Radhakrishnan, made public his Jharkhand tour through social media platform including X ( which was Twitter earlier).
