The President Ram Nath Kovind has given assent to the Jharkhand Special Courts Act,2016 which was enacted to recover the ill-gotten assets of public servants.
The Act was first adopted by Orissa and then by Bihar led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 2015.It was picked up by Andhra Pradesh in 2016.
In Jharkhand,it was much -awaited Act introduced and approved by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
The Act is expected to be utilised to recover the illegal properties of the corrupt public servants involved in disproportionate assets cases with an intent to see that they do not enjoy the ill gotten property or money during trial.
Now,the state government is expected to identify the ill gotten properties of the corrupt public servants without any biases and intent to hook up 'opposition' and selected 'enemies' for political goals.
