The Opposition parties, excluding Congress, have called for Jharkhand bandh on May 4 in protest against the Land acquisition bill.

CPI leaders met today in Ranchi to frame strategies to make the bandh a success.The meeting was attended by leaders from RJD, CPI, CPM, SP.

Questions are being raised over the day selected for the bandh because May 4 is Buddha Purnima when all public institutions and school and colleges will remain closed.
