The Jharkhand High Court today virtually heard the lawyers of both the petitioners and respondents in two petitions connected with Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his associates.

These PILs seek inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) against chief minister Hemant Soren for alleged irregularities in the grant of mining lease and transactions of some shell companies allegedly operated by his family members.

A division bench of chief justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and justice SN Prasad on Wednesday had fixed the next date of hearing on June 30.

Sri Kapil Sibbal appeared on behalf of the state government through video conferencing while Rajiv Ranjan A.G and Minakchi Arora senior Advocates both were present.
