Jharkhand High Court has reserved judgment of defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Justice Ambuj Nath reserved judgment after hearing lawyers of both sides and directing them to file their arguments in brief in this defamation case.
The defamation case was registered by a local BJP leader Naveen Jha. In his complaint, he had enclosed the recorded statement of Rahul Gandhi, who while addressing a meeting of the Congress workers in Chaibasa in 2018, saying,” ONLY IN BJP, A MURDERER CAN BECOME HOME MINISTER, NOT IN CONGRESS.”
Jha lodged a defamation case in the district court against Rahul Gandhi. Later, the case reached Jharkhand High Court. Alongside another BJP leader, Pratap Kumar lodged another defamation case against Rahul Gandhi in Chaibasa court. This was questioned by Rahul Gandhi in High Court.
Now, with Jharkhand reserving its verdict, the petitioners were waiting to get justice.
