Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren will move the Jharkhand High Court against the repeated summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate on Monday. And he will not appear before the ED today.

“The petition of the CM Soren was drafted to be filed on Friday. However, since the court offices remained suspended in honour of Jharkhand High Court Justice Kailash Prasad Deo who had passed away a day before, the petition couldn’t be filed”, said an officer considered close the CM.

Now, this has become clear with his decision to forward a copy of his petition to the Ranchi office of the ED where he was asked to appear on September 23( today).

The ED had sent a fourth summon to CM Soren as he had preferred not to abide by its appeal three times earlier. In response, CM Soren had moved the Supreme Court challenging the legality of the ED’s summon to the Constitutional post of the CM he held in Jharkhand.

But the apex court had turned down his plea asking him to approach the appropriate court( Jharkhand High Court). Notably, ED had summoned CM Soren to interrogate him in the alleged case of money laundering in the illegal mining case.
