Top bureaucrats greet new CM Champai Soren inside the Secretariat building - Project Bhawan Two IAS officers- L Khiangte and Vandana Dadel- greeted new CM Champai Soren inside Project Bhawan in Ranchi today. 

Both handed over bouquets to CM Champai Soren who was known to them. In the Hemant Soren government, Champai Soren was the Cabinet Minister of Transport, Scheduled Tribes, and Scheduled Caste & Backward class welfare in the cabinet of the 2nd Hemant Soren ministry. 

L Khiangte, a 1988 batch IAS officer who is slated to retire in March, and Vandana Dadel, 1996 batch IAS were appointed by ex-CM Hemant Soren as Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Rajbhasha Deptt., Jharkhand respectively.

In the bureaucratic circle, the buzz is that there will be no change of guards and Ex-CM Hemant Soren who is right now in jail only to be taken into custody by the ED for interrogation may call the shots. One question is doing the rounds is whether CM Champai Soren will continue to have former CM Hemant Soren’s Principal Secretary Vinay Choubey.
