“I was offered an MP ticket from the BJP for Hazaribagh, which I declined. Some people from the BJP side pressurised me to contest from the side of BJP MP Chatra. We are from the Congress party, and we have consistently won the Barkagaon seat.”  

This is the response of the Congress MLA Amba Prasad on the search operations launched by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) at premises linked to her. 

When PTI queried her last night, Prasad claimed that the ED searches were a result of her refusal to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. 

BJP state chief Babulal Marandi has counter-claimed saying, “ She (Amba Prasad) is like any other political leaders who utter these words after the central agency raid their premises on charges of corruption.”
