The legal problem of ex-Congress President Rahul Gandhi is not dead. The PMLA special court in Chaibasa, West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand, has directed him to appear before it on March 27. 

The court has summoned him in a defamation case in which Rahul Gandhi had called Union Home Minister Amit Shah as “ murderer.” In 2018, Rahul Gandhi, during a public meeting had criticised Amit Shah and without naming him referred to him as “a murderer.” 

Reacting to his controversial statement, BJP’s youth wing vice president Pratap Katiyar had filed a defamation case against him. 

The PMLA court of Rishi Kumar who heard his counsel and issued an order summoning Rahul Gandhi on March 27. 

Reports say, instead of appearing before the court, Rahul Gandhi will challenge the above court’s decision in the appropriate court for justice.
