ED recovered crores of cash from the premise of a servant of Congress leader and Minister Alamgir Alam’s PS in Ranchi

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids at several places in Ranchi. The agency recovered huge cash in crores and gold jewellery from Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam’s Personal Secretary Sanjiv Lal.

The counting is going on. The ED has called a truck to carry the cash to its treasury in Ranchi.

The cash was recovered from the household help of Sanjiv Lal, PS to Alamgir Alam in the Veerendra Ram case. Veerendra K Ram was a chief engineer accused of amassing property worth 100 Crore.

ED had arrested Virendra K Ram, the chief engineer at the Jharkhand Rural Development Department, in February 2023 in a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the implementation of some schemes.

A pen drive with alleged transaction details with some Jharkhand politicians was recovered from his possession.
