Two full-page sprayed display advertisements in local newspapers show that CM Hemant Soren has adopted an aggressive approach to deal with the potential fallout of the influential tribal leader's angry exit. 

The advertisement published by the state public relations department carrying the bearded picture of CM Hemant Soren highlights his government’s several development schemes.

These schemes were Abuwa Awas( Housing) Yojna, Guruji Student Credit card, Jharkhand Mukhya Mantri Maiya Samman Yojna( scheme aims to enhance the financial security and well-being of women across the state by providing financial assistance of ₹1,000/- per month to women beneficiaries). 

It also lays focus on the Soren government’s “Apki Yojna, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar’(Your scheme, your government at your door ) mentioning that 4,351 and 50 camps were held at panchayat and municipality levels during the past three years since 2021. “Dene Adhikar… Chouthi Bar Hemant Sarkar Aa Rahi Aapke Dwar( To empower you for the fourth time, The Hemant government is coming to your door)”, reads the ad. 

Though the date and venue of its Sarkar Apke Dwar programme have not been announced, the Soren government is showcasing its “ achievements”.

Also, the CM Soren quickly filled up on Thursday the post of minister, vacated after rebel tribal leader Champai Soren quit the Hemant Soren’s cabinet on Wednesday night, by appointing another tribal leader Ramdas Soren. 

Not least, in the Cabinet meeting headed by CM Soren on Thursday, 40 lakh consumers who utilize less than 200 units of electricity, were benefited from its decision to wave off power dues pending against them. 

Against this backdrop, the opposition front paged its advertisement reading “ Johar Jharkhand; Jharkhand Ke Ghuspethieon, Dalalon, Bhrast Officeron Yevan Paruwarwadi Takaton Se Mukt Karane Ka Sankalp Lekar, Bhajpa Me Shamil Ho Rahe Kolhan Tiger Sri Chanpai Sorenji Ka Swagat Hai(Welcome Jharkhand- Wecome Kolhan Tiger Champai Soren ( who) is joining the BJP and its family to liberate Jharkhand from illegal immigrants( Bangladeshis), middlemen, corrupt officers and family power). 

The add war between the JMM and the BJP has taken place on the day Champai Soren together with his son Babulal Soren is joining the BJP in Ranchi, months before the Assembly polls are expected by the year end. 

Clearly, while the JMM and its allies Congress and RJD are planning to mobilize support on the Soren government’s “ achievements”, the BJP is headed to counter it by raising the issues of rampant corruption corrupt bureaucrats, middlemen, family power and identity of tribals adversely affected by illegal immigrants from Bangladesh in Jharkhand.
