Terroist Ajmal Amir Qasab must be a happy man.The hangman Arjun Jadhav who had expressed his wish to hang him,is dead.Two years ago,Jadhav,the hangman of the Maharashtra government’s prision,who was known as “phasi man”,had in an interview to Mid Day in May 2010,expressed his wish to execute Qasab.Just before he breadth his last in Mumbai hospital,he pleaded with doctors to make him well.

“My father was sure that the state government would require his services when the time came to hang Qasab.He had asked the doctors to make him well so that he could hang Qasab.Unfortunately this did not happen”,cribbed his daughter Durga.

While no body knows whether Qasab,whose death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court,will be hanged,the last rites of Jadhav were performed at a crematorium in his village
Yavali in Mohol taluka in Solapur district on Tuesday afternoon.
