A doctor has been abducted for ransom in Giridih district of Jharkhand, said the police.

According to the police, Dasrath Verma has been abducted from Gurha village of Giridih district.

The doctor was kidnapped when he was returning home. The bike he was riding has been recovered by the police.

According to police sources, a ransom of Rs.15 lakh has been demanded by the abductors.
