Jobs are pouring at Indian Institute of Management-Ranchi.The scene is such that none of the students of batch 2018-20 of post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) and post graduate diploma in human resource management (PGDHRM) were unemployed.

In fact,IIM-Ranchi has achieved 100% placement for its summer placement session of these students-batch 2018-20 of post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) and post graduate diploma in human resource management (PGDHRM).

Inside the campus,the placement session has witnessed participation of 106 companies for 253 students, 186 in PGDM and 67 in PGDHRM.There was an increment of 6.45% in average stipend of internship of PGDM batch as compared to previous session, with the average stipend being Rs. 90,830. 

The average stipend of PGDHRM has increased by 10% and stood at Rs. 95,152.The average stipend for the top 25% of the batch was Rs. 1,71,587 and Rs. 1,65,788 for the PGDM and PGDHRM batches, respectively.

The roles offered in sales and marketing was the highest with 44% getting recruited in this sector, followed by 16% in finance and 15% in operations. Legacy recruiters were top companies- ACG Worldwide, Berger Paints, Deloitte, Google, HP, ICICI Bank, RPG Group, Tata Steel, Value Labs, Vedanta, Wipro Consumer Care and others offered diverse roles in business development and strategy, campaign management, equity research, corporate finance, supply chain management, operations analytics, strategic sourcing, product analyst and business analyst, among others.

In addition to regular prominent recruiters, more than 60 first-time recruiters associated with the IIM-Ranchi in this session. Organizations like Ernst & Young, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, JSPL, Microland, Ola, Siemens and others have recruited students for their respective summer internship programmes for the first time.
