Jharkhand youths celebrated Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti on Thursday. For the first time, the state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren had declared the day as a holiday. As a result, most state government offices remained closed.

Along the roadside near Ranchi University office, Subhash Chandra Bose statue was put up and national songs rent the air in Ranchi.

Even at Subhash Chandra Bose park near Ranchi Deputy Commissioner's office, people were spotted paying tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who was known as "one of our most beloved national heroes and an icon of India's freedom struggle"
