Long queues of people to have lunch - -rice and dal -free of cost on the fourth day of 21 - day-long lockdown announced by PM Narendra Modi.

This was part of Social service offered by an NGO Seva Bharti inside its own office complex of Birsa Chowk in Ranchi. The free Dal - Bhaat Kendra opens and serves for two hours from 12 noon and 2 pm.

Seva Bharti led by its President Girish Malhotra who is a distinguished businessman of Jharkhand- the owner of the famous Kashmir Vastralaya, Main Road, Ranchi, has scores of volunteers. Many of them were active in executing Dal- Bhaat scheme.

Malhotra who is a fan of PM Modi has earned blessings of the beneficiaries. " We are thankful to him. We are proud of him', said an old beneficiary who eat Dal - Bhaat lunch this afternoon. 

The free Dal- Bhaat service will be provided to poor people- daily wage workers, rickshaw wallahs and others who had no place to procure lunch- on a daily basis during the mentioned two hours till lockdown continues till April 14, 2020.
