Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, who visited Chhapra, Bihar, flagged off a new weekly train connecting Chapra with Delhi. 

During his visit, Railway Minister Shri Vaishnaw, along with Bihar Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary, inaugurated these new train services and extended regional rail connectivity. 

The move reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to improving passenger mobility and accelerating regional development, said the Railway Minister.

*Flagging Off Chhapra–Delhi Express:* Shri Vaishnaw flagged off the 12527/12528 Chhapra–Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal)–Chhapra Weekly Express, providing direct connectivity between Chhapra and the National Capital Region and benefiting passengers travelling for employment, education and healthcare.

In addition, he inaugurated 14055/14056 Mau–Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal)–Mau Express, strengthening rail connectivity between eastern Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

Moreover, he extended the Doharighat MEMU Service to Varanasi City by inaugurating the extension of the 65121/65122 Doharighat–Aunrihar MEMU service up to Varanasi City through video conferencing.

The new services are expected to benefit students, farmers, traders, pilgrims and tourists, while improving market access for agricultural and local products and contributing to the region’s economic and cultural development.

On this occasion, the Railway Minister, who was accompanied by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, said that the extension of the Doharighat train service to Varanasi City and the launch of the Chhapra–Delhi Weekly Express were both delivered within 39 days, fulfilling the commitments made to the people within the promised 40-day timeframe.
