Good news is the XLRI-Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur has secured the 10th position in the country in management category.
Also,Indian Institute of Management (IIT) Dhanbad finds place in top 100 in various sections, according to National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) list released by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi.
NIRF which released the list on Thursday evening has been accepted by the Ministry of Education. It was launched by Union Minister for Education on September 15, 2015.
This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country.According to NIRF, XLRI had secured 9th position in 2024.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur secured 82nd position in the engineering section. It had failed to secure a position in the top 100 in 2024.
IIT Dhanbad has secured 15th rank in engineering category, 27th in research, 35th in overall and 48th in management. In 2024, the institution secured 15th rank in engineering, 22nd in research, 35th in overall and 46th in management.
The National University of Study and Research in Law secured 39th rank compared to 22nd last year in the law group. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has been placed 18th compared to 17th last year in the management section.
Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra has secured 51st rank among the engineering colleges compared to 48th in 2024. It also secured 92nd rank among the universities compared 82nd rank last year. The institute secured 22nd rank in architecture and planning, the same position as last year.
Notably, the ranking of other state institutions in the list either remained the same or has dropped as compared to last year. However, none of the colleges across the state secured a place in any category.
