All state government and railway offices, Banks and Postal services will remain closed on October 1 -2.

While the state government and the Railway offices have notified these two-day holidays, all banks including the State Bank of India (SBI), will remain closed during Durga Puja and Gandhi Jayanti holidays mandated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

However, the traffic of the trains will not be affected. All trains will run as per their scheduled time.

The bank remained closed today, on September 30, and continued to remain closed for two more days to reopen on October 3.

Even private courier services were closed for five days beginning September 29( Sunday) and ending on October 2 to restart service on October 3.

Not the least,the OPD (Outpatient Department) for Rajendra Institute of Medical Science( RIMS), Ranchi and MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur will be closed only on October 1- 2nd for Durga Puja, while emergency services remain open.

For other hospitals, the concerned citizen can confirm their OPD status by contacting them directly or by referring to their official announcements or website, as closure can be due to Durga Puja holidays.
