A festive evening turned tragic in Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Friday night when seven persons were stabbed. One of them is still undergoing treatment in the hospital there.

Reports indicate that when a group of youth from the Harijan( Dalit) Basti( read colony) were returning home after Durga idol immersion, they were attacked by a group of knife - yielding men near Chakradharpur police station.

Seven of these men were injured.They were identified as Dhruv Mukhi, Govind Mukhi,Dinesh Mukhi,Rikki Mukhi,Atul Mukhi,Aman Mukhi and Ajay Mukhi.

All of these Dalit Mukhis were admitted at Chakradharpur Railway station. Though all were released after the first aid, Rikki Mukhi reportedly is in critical condition.

Though the police have registered an FIR, no arrest was made till date.
