Two -day long 9th NAGI International Conference on 'Sustainable Future Earth' was inaugurated by Jharkhand Governor cum Chancellor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Aryabhatt Hall in Ranchi, on October 7 to conclude on October 9, 2025.
Hosted by Department of Geography,Ranchi University,in collaboration with the National Association of Geographers, India,the theme of the conference is “SUSTAINABLE FUTURE EARTH: EMERGING ISSUES AND CHALLENGES IN
RESOURCE UTILISATION AND MANAGEMENT.”
The conference aims to address critical challenges in resource utilization and management amidst climate change and urbanization, providing a platform for experts to discuss innovative solutions.
Other key themes and aim of the conference include integrated resource management, sustainable practices, and community participation to achieve sustainability goals.
The innaugural function was marked by presence of top functionaries including Jharkhand Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore and Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University Prof.(Dr.)D.K.Singh as chief guests.
The opening speech delivered by Prof. V.C. Jha laid focus on welcome the guests, participants and highlighting the significance of sustainable planet - Earth.
