Yes. Not in Jharkhand. Uttrakhand capital city Dehradun is witnessing a festival of sweet fruits. It is called the Apple Festival 2.0,
The two - day Apple festival, organised by National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) began today ( October 9) to conclude tomorrow (October 10) in Dehradun at its own office premise.
NABARD had previously organized a one-day ‘Apple Festival 1.0’ last year 2024.
The festival has provided a platform to connect apple and kiwi producing farmers and farmer producer organizations in Uttarakhand directly with the customers. Encouraged by its success,
NABARD has promoted Farmer Producer Organizations and Self-Help Groups of marginal and small farmers in the state.
In this festival, ‘A’ grade Royal Delicious, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious apples produced by NABARD-supported Farmer Producer Organization of Harshil Valley, kiwi fruit produced through natural methods by the farmers of Kapkot, and a variety of excellent hill products — including walnuts, kidney beans, GI-tagged items, juices, pickles, handloom products, and herbs — from other Farmer Producer Organizations and Self-Help Groups were available for purchase.
