All spectators will be welcomed inside Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi to watch athletes from various South Asian countries participating in the 4th South Asian (SAAF) Senior Athletics Championships 2025. Since Jharkhand is the host, there will be no entry ticket for spectators.
The SAAF 2025 is set to kick off on Friday. The three-day international athletics event, to be held at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, will see the participation of around 300 athletes from six countries- India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
The athletic competitions will be telecast live by DD Sports and YouTube.The media, sports persons and officials are planned to be given separate pavilions.
A dedicated “ mixed zone” has been created for media persons and participant atheists to facilitate their interaction and talk.

Three top hotels of the Ranchi city - Radisson Blu, BNR Chanakya, and Holy Day Home will provide lodging facilities to foreign and domestic athletes and officials.
As per the plan of organizers, spectators will also enjoy intermittent cultural performances, showcasing Jharkhand’s rich heritage during event intervals.
Medical assistance and emergency response teams will be available throughout the event. Special attention is being given to cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management in and around the stadium,” Shekhar Jamuar, director of the Sports Authority of India in charge Ranchi, said.
