CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory will organize CRITICAL METALS CONGRESS (CRITMET) 2025 in association with the Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India from 06-08 November 2025 at Jamshedpur.

With increasing indigenous demand for critical metals, the conference will bring together policy makers, researchers and industries on a single platform.

This is the first event on Critical Minerals, organized by CSIR-NML after it has been recognized by the Ministry of Mines, GoI, as a Centre for Excellence (CoE) under the National Critical Minerals Mission (NCMM).

The event will include plenary lectures by global experts, technical sessions with research focus on Critical Mineral Beneficiation, Extraction and Separation from Primary and Secondary (Recycling) sources, and sessions focusing on International and National Policies and Supply Chain Management for Critical minerals.

A poster presentation session will also be held to showcase the latest R&D in Critical Minerals. An exhibition of the latest technologies in the field by well-known industries will be on display for the benefit of the participants.

The event is of great importance as the need for critical minerals is increasing by the day. Critical minerals are those minerals, which are of utmost importance for the economic development and national security. The future global economy will be driven by technologies that are heavily dependent on critical minerals.

Thus, conscious efforts have to be made towards evolving policies, developing technologies and building strong supply chains for these minerals. CRITMET 2025 organized by CSIR-NML is a concerted effort in this direction. The details of the event are available at https://critmet.in.
