Director, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Shri Rakesh Kumar, has inspected the camps and interacts with pensioners in Daltongunj in Jharkhand.

As per the Press Information Bureau report, over 1.62 crore Life Certificates were generated, including 50 lakh through Face Authentication technology. 

Under the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, Camps were organized on Tuesday at the State Bank of India (SBI), GLA College Branch, and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) at the Head Post Office in Delhi Daltonganj. 

Anything that On this occasion, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India, was present.

Director Shri Rakesh Kumar inspected the camps and interacted with pensioners to understand their feedback on the digital services being provided. He also extended doorstep DLC services to very senior pensioners and familiarized them with the process of submitting Life Certificates using Face Authentication technology. 

Shri Kumar, along with Shri Manoj Kumar, DGM of State Bank of India and representatives from IPPB, and UIDAI, assisted pensioners in generating their Life Certificates through digital means.

*Covering more than 2,000 cities and towns*

The DLC Campaign 4.0 follows a Saturation Approach, covering more than 2,000 cities and towns across the country. During DLC 3.0 (2024), over 1.62 crore Life Certificates were generated, including 50 lakh through Face Authentication technology. 

In the ongoing DLC 4.0, the campaign is progressing rapidly toward achieving the target of 2 crore DLCs through the collective efforts of Banks, IPPB, UIDAI, MeitY, CGDA, Railways, and Pensioners’ Welfare Associations.
Extensive media coverage for widespread awareness

The campaign received extensive publicity through Doordarshan, All India Radio, PIB releases, and social media platforms, leading to significant awareness about the Digital Life Certificate process. 

Daily progress is being monitored in real time through the NIC DLC Portal, enabling continuous tracking of certificate generation statistics by Banks and Departments.

The Department claims to remain committed to making the lives of pensioners more convenient and it promises to ensure their digital empowerment through technology-driven initiatives such as the Digital Life Certificate Campaign.
