Ranchi: Students from the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, proudly represented the university at the 5th Cross-Examination Moot Court Competition 2025, held in Paris, France. 

This prestigious international competition focuses on the art of cross-examining fact and expert witnesses in the field of International Arbitration. The event witnessed participation from leading law universities across the world, including India.

The NUSRL team Vansh Gandhi, Shreya, Shraddha Raj, Garima Kiran, Yash Singh Naruka, and Abhaya Shruti competed against top institutions such as NLU Delhi, NALSAR Hyderabad, King’s College London, and the London School of Economics (LSE). The team showcased remarkable confidence, reasoning, and advocacy skills throughout the competition.

The team had the opportunity to argue at both Sciences Po Law School and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris. The competition offered the students a valuable platform to understand global legal perspectives and the evolving dynamics of law and technology in international dispute resolution.

The event was hosted by Sciences Po Law School, Paris in collaboration with academic partners including Queen Mary University of London, New York University, and the National University of Singapore. Since its first edition, the Cross-Examination Moot has been recognized by the Global Arbitration Review as the “Best Development of the Arbitration World” in 2021.
