Ahead of the 25th year of foundation day function of the state on November 15, 2025, the state government organised the ‘Run for Jharkhand’ this morning( November 11,2025).
The ‘Run for Jharkhand’, first of its kind event, marked the start of the state's silver jubilee celebrations.
It was flagged off by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Ranchi's Morahabadi Maidan. The event commemorates the state's 25th foundation day.Jharkhand was created by bifurcating Bihar on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in the millennium year on November 15,2000.
A host of dignitaries, including Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar and several JMM MLAs, were present at the event. The Run for Jharkhand concluded at Sainik Market after covering a 5 km long stretch.
As part of the foundation week celebrations, the CM Soren is also set to launch a blood donation campaign on November 12, aligning with the commemoration of tribal leader Birsa Munda's birth anniversary on November 15.
