Seven districts in Jharkhand are going to face a cold wave in the coming days, predicts the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

For these districts, the IMD issued a “yellow” alert for these seven districts: Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, and Simdega from November 12 to 15.

The Ranchi IMD Deputy-Director and weather scientist Abhishek Anand said, "The seven districts are likely to experience a dip of 2-3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures, taking the temperatures below 10°C during the next three days."

He added, “In the past 24 hours, some districts recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C.”
