




In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and creativity, the Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi Regional Office organized a grand Eastern Zone Cultural Meet 2025 on 15th November 2025.
The move was part of its initiative under the guidance and leadership of Shri Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director.
This important event was organized on the auspicious occasion of the 19th anniversary of the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi Regional Office and the completion of the silver jubilee year of the establishment of the state of Jharkhand.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of completion of 90 years of Reserve Bank of India last year and Silver Jubilee year of the state this year, Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi office has taken many initiatives and innovative programmes.


These programmes include 'Yatra Aviram' a booklet of 90 awareness slogans, 'Decade-wise presentation on the journey of Reserve Bank so far'.
Not the least, RBI Ranchi office also organised financial awareness programmes in 90 schools of the state in addition to plantation and environment related programmes with the motto 'Hara Bhara Sundar Sansar', launch of bi-monthly magazine ‘Unnayan’ focussing on financial literacy and inclusion, ‘lectures on banking and economic topics’, various competitions and events for students, bank employees and staff members, ‘Swachh Mudra Abhiyan’ with the motto of 'Swachh Parivesh, Sundar Pradesh, Sashakt Desh’ , lecture series on 'Banking and risk management' and 'Dimensions of central banking', honouring and interacting with eminent personalities of 90 years and above, 90-day voluntary 'Health cum resource conservation Pledge' and ‘Jadu Se Jagrukta – The Magic of Financial Literacy’.
In this sequence, the organization of Eastern Zone Cultural Meet 2025 in Ranchi is considered a prestigious moment for the entire state.
The objective of the event was not only to encourage mutual camaraderie and creativity among the officers and staff but also to enhance mutual cooperation, artistic expression and cultural unity among them.
Senior officials of the Reserve Bank of India,including Shri Sudhanshu Prasad, Regional Director,Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata, Shri Sujit Kumar Arvind,Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Patna, Shri Anup Chandran V, Chief General Manager, Central Office, Mumbai, Shri Abhijit Majumdar, General Manager (Officer in Charge), Itanagar and Shri Manoj Ranjan, Ombudsman,Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi were present on the occasion. They shared their views on various aspects of the programme and played a key role in its success.
The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director,Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi and other distinguished guests. In his inspirational address, the Regional Director said that such cultural events are important for camaraderie, team spirit, and all-round development.
This event is not just a medium of entertainment, but a celebration of organizational unity and spiritual energy, in which every employee has the opportunity to express his or her inherent talent. In his address, he informed that the Reserve Bank of India organizes this event in every two years in which colleagues from various state offices located in the Eastern Region showcase their talent in cultural activities.
Under the program, three types of competitions were organized – theatrical performance, singing and talent show. On this occasion, the participants powerfully portrayed institutional unity and team spirit through their art, music and acting.


The event infused new energy, highlighting regional cultural diversity and the spirit of cultural exchange. The participants from Ranchi, Kolkata,Patna, Bhubaneswar, Gangtok, Guwahati, Shillong,Itanagar, Kohima, Imphal, Agartala and Aizawl offices of the Eastern Region participated with full enthusiasm and dedication in the competitions of all the three categories. They displayed their creativity & expression excellently and earned the appreciation of audience.
The creative evaluation of esteemed jury like Shri P.K. Jha, Deputy Director General, Doordarshan, Shri Sanjay Lal, Director, Exposure Natya Mandali and renowned singer Smt. Mrinalini Akhauri for evaluation of the performances raised the bar of the event.
In the concluding session of the function, the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi and other Chief Guests congratulated the winners along with participation certificates and mementos. All the participants were appreciated and encouraged for their contribution and artistic expression.
