Separate ticket counters are open for both males and females. And long queues were visible since 2 pm on November 25 to purchase tickets and watch the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and South Africa on November 30.
Security personnel were spotted maintaining law and order. No untoward incident was reported till going for publication of this report at 4 pm.
The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) had earlier announced the ticket distribution and purchase details of this ODI between India and South Africa at its International Cricket Stadium Complex, H.E.C. Campus, Dhurwa, Ranchi.
JSCA members, affiliated districts, and institutions were informed that they can collect their complimentary tickets on November 23 (Sunday) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Conference Room, Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur, and on November 24 (Monday) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the M.S. Dhoni Pavilion (South Gate) of the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.
Each member was delivered a T-shirt and a backpack along with their tickets. Members were asked to submit their JSCA Photo Identity Card or a valid government ID for verification.
Life members of JSCA were entitled to purchase up to five tickets, priced between ₹1,300 and ₹7,000.
As per the JSCA guidelines, affiliated districts were made eligible to buy 100 tickets (50 priced at ₹1,300 and 50 at ₹2,000), while affiliated schools, clubs, and institutions were entitled to purchase 25 tickets (15 priced at ₹1,300 and 10 at ₹2,000).
