Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda who offered prayers and fed a cow at Shree Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple on Saturday in Deoghar, told party workers that they should work to free Jharkhand from the rule of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha( JMM)-Congress-RJD.

Mr. Nadda lambasted the ruling JMM led government dubbing it as “ Thagua Sarkar”( Government of cheaters) and saying “ loot and corruption” rule the roost in Jharkhand.

The BJP President cited National Crime Record Bureau ( NCRB) and pointed out that Jharkhand topped the list of honour killing( the killing of a relative, especially a girl or woman, who is perceived to have brought dishonour on the family).

He alleged that on the basis of the government’s protection, “ mafia rule” prevailed.The cases of rape, witch killing and dowry death have increased.” The loot of sand,coal and minerals is going on openly.”

The BJP leader asked the audience to reply if electoral promises made by the ruling parties were fulfilled? Were they getting LPG Cylinder at Rs 450? Has government provided jobs to 10 lakh youths? Did farmers get MSP for rice at Rs 3200 per quintal?.

”An elephant’s teeth are one thing for eating and another for showing”, said Mr. Nadda critiquing hypocrisy of the JMM- Congress- RJD led government.

His statement washed away reported speculation over the JMM walking out of the ruling Mahaghatbandhan comprising Congress and RJD and joining the BJP led NDA in Jharkhand.

In fact, Mr. Nadda performed the holy rituals at the Baidynath Temple.After offering prayers, the Union Minister said he will serve the country and society with renewed spirit and energy for the development of the nation.

"I got the fortune to visit the pious land of Baba Baidyanath and I pay respects to all the priests here. I thank them, for completing holy rituals with me. With the new spirit and energy I received here, I will serve the country and the society and I also pray for the development of the country," Nadda is quoted having said by ANI.

In a post on X, Nadda said that he prayed to Baba Baidyanath Ji for the continuous progress of the nation and the happiness, peace, and prosperity of all citizens of the country.

"Today, I had the good fortune to perform worship and have darshan at Baba Baidyanath Dham, one of the prominent twelve Jyotirlingas located in Deoghar, Jharkhand. I prayed to Baba Baidyanath Ji for the continuous progress of the nation and the happiness, peace, and prosperity of all citizens of the country. Har Har Mahadev!," he wrote.

Later, Nadda also inaugurated BJP offices in Jharkhand's Deoghar and Gumla, and said, "It will strengthen the party for the next 50 years."

Earlier on Friday, BJP workers welcomed Nadda as he arrived at Deoghar airport, and later he attended the state office-bearers' meeting.
