*The charred interior of a nightclub where a fire claimed 25 lives including three cooks from Jharkhand.

They had migrated to Goa from Jharkhand to work. Now, two of their mortal remains returned to their home land for last rites.They were consigned to flames at their ancestral village leaving their family members in grief.

These three workers were among the 25 people killed in the fire at the Goa nightclub, were brought to Ranchi on Monday morning (December 8, 2025).”

They were identified as Pradeep (24) and Binod Mahto (20), two brothers from Fatehpur village in Lapung village in Ranchi. The body of Mohit Munda (22) of Govindpur village in Khunti district's Karra block is yet to land. They had died in the inferno that ravaged the North Goa club post-midnight on Sunday (December 7, 2025).

Inquiry revealed that the state Agriculture Minister Shilpy Neha Tirkey had coordinated with the Goa Government and succeeded in bringing back their bodies.The deceased belong to Mander assembly constituency represented by Shilpi Neha.

Reports claimed that State Migrant Control Room's team leader Shikha Lakra, who received the bodies at the airport, used the Labour Department. The same department is coordinating with the family members of the other victim who is still stranded in Goa are brought back to Ranchi by a flight in the evening.

These three people were among 14 staff members of the nightclub killed in the fire.

The brothers had migrated to Goa about a year ago and used to send around ₹30,000 per month to support their family. "Both were unmarried. They were scheduled to celebrate Holi with us next year," their elder brother Phagu had said.

The Chief Minister and his legislator wife, Kalpana Soren, have condoled the loss of lives in the blaze, describing it as "extremely heartbreaking and tragic".
