A fire broke out on the 12 floor at a multi-storey residential building in multi storey residential complex located in between Kathal chowk and Argora chowk in Ranchi on Friday( December 26, 2025) morning, capital of Jharkhand.

The fire caused tension and panic in the entire complex called
Pearl Orchid was brought under control within an hour, it is learnt.

Fire Officer of Ranchi, Ashok Kumar, said the blaze erupted at Pearl Orchid Apartments. After receiving the phone call, fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

"All residents were safely evacuated before the fire could spread further. Firefighters worked from both inside and outside the building to bring the flames completely under control within an hour," he said.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire started from a short circuit, which later spread to other parts of the building, he added.

The Police personnel were also present at the site, he added.
